Deathly Hallows Movie

The Deathly Hallows movie is confirmed to be split into two parts. The first part will come out in November 2010 and the second part will come out in May 2011. This is great news to Harry Potter fans because we know that there will be very few cuts from the book. The only downside is the two year wait between HBP and DH.

Yet another theory...

I know Hermione cares about her school work, but in every book, she's been willing to not only face expulsion, but to also face death to help her friends Harry and Ron. Why, then, would her greatest fear be failing everything when she believed that a crazy mass murderer was no the loose trying to kill one of her best friends? Keep in mind that earlier that year, Ron had woken up with Sirius Black standing over him with a knife and Harry had been risking his neak by sneeking out to Hogsmead. It's much more likely that she say one, or both, of them dead and lied about it later.

"The sacred vessels, or 'Hallows of Ireland' were believed to have been brought by the 'Tuatha de Danaan' to Ireland and kept in the 'Crane Bag', visible at high tide only. Four people were responsible for guarding the contents, known as 'Guardians of the Hallows' : 'Manannan', 'Lugh', 'Cumhal', 'Fionn'...

We know Voldie wants an artifact from each of the 4 founders turn into horcruxes. We also know that the title of the next HP book is Deathly Hallows. (hAllows, not hOllows). We can reasonable deduce, then, that the "Deathly" part refers to 2 parts: the part where you have to kill someone to make a horcrux, and the part where they are the key to killing Voldie once and for all. The important part is the "Hallows" part.

First of, let me point out the obvious. 4 Hallows of Arthurian legend, 4 Founders of Hogwarts. Now that that's clear, let me point out some of the other "coincidences."

1. Gryffindor's Sword. While it may not be a horcrux, it eliminates the possibility of Ravenclaw's artifact being a sword. This is helpful later on when we try to speculate what her artifact is and where it may be.

2. Hufflepuff's Cup. Voldie (then Tom Riddle) encounters this as well as Slytherin's locket at Heptziba Smith's house. We then go on to learn that Miss Smith was poisoned "accidentally" and the cup and the locket was never seen again. The only people who new she had those artifacts where her family and, guess who?, Tom Riddle. Jo Rowling says herself that there was an almost "hungry" look in his eyes when he saw the artifacts, and we know he had already killed his family. Why wouldn't he do it?

3. Slytherin's Locket. While it may not be an exact match, it is a reasonable assumption that the locket is the pentacle. The pentacle is the five pointed star, but it is usually pictured as a symbol engraved into wood or gold. What else is gold (and round as most pentacles are)? A locket! As I said above, Voldie acquired the locket from Miss Smith. We know this for a fact. while the cup may still just be a very good guess, we have seen the locket, or, at least, evidence that Voldie had hidden it at some point. Dumbledoor found the cave where it was hidden and took Harry with him. The locket they acquired may not have been the true locket, but the note within showed that the locket was there at some point, and that Voldie had put it there. R.A.B. addressed the note to Voldie, saying that he had the locket and was trying to destroy it. What other proof is needed?

4. Ravenclaw's Wand? This is where we get in to the "thickets of wildest guess work" ...using the path of rational deductions that is. We already know of the sword, the cup, and the pentacle, so that leaves only one other Hallow: the wand. I suppose Ravenclaw could have left behind a spear, but we know that the one tool every witch and wizard has is a ward. Also, the other three correspond to the characteristics valued by the Founders. Sword: Bravery (like a knight of the round table); Cup: abundance or friendship; and Pentacle: Power (used in many wiccan rituals). Therefore, Ravenclaw's own artifact should correspond to her house as well. The wand may not be an exact match, but that's why this is just a guess. The wand could symbolize magical intellegence, needing to know what to do in order for it to be of any use.

Now, we probably agree that Ravenclaw's artifact is a wand. But I mentioned before that I was not only going to speculate what her artifact is, but also where it is. Now, where have I seen a wand that obviously has some special background or meaning to it. Oh, ya! Ollivander's! When Harry first sees Ollivander's shop, the only thing in the window is a single wand on a cusion. Now why would he put that specific wand on a pillo, by itself, in the window for everyone to see? If he wanted a window display, he should have put multiple wand of different woods, cores, and length in a display of some sort of magic act or duel. Instead, he puts a solitary wand on a cusion as if it had some special meaning. Which is does. "I remember every wand I ever sold..." If Mr. Ollivander remembers every wand he ever sold, I'm willing to bet that so does his relatives (who were making wands in the 1st century, before Hogwarts was founded). If one of them sold Ravenclaw her wand, they would probably remember that! And to receve that wand after the owner had passed on would mean a great deal to them.

One small problem... Ollivander dissapeared and the windows were borded up. Looks like Harry still has to go horcrux hunting...

Comment on this!!! My explination of a theory...

According to J.K. Rowling, the two way mirror will make another appearance in a future book. The mirror was not even mentioned in HBP, meaning that it must be used in DH. Since we know that Harry cannot use the mirror to comunicate with Sirius (he tried that), then the mirror must be used a different way. Either Harry will keep one and Ron, Hermione, Ginny, or another member of the order will keep the other as a form of communication (which is possible), or it will be used as a mirror. By this I do not mean a way to show Harry how messy his hair is, but as a form of scrying. Yes, I know scrying is a form of divination which both Harry and Ron failed (and Hermione quit), but, if you do not remember, Harry has predicted the future before. Where? In divination! He started making up something for Trelawney and decided to tell her that he saw a Hippogriff flying away unharmed. As you will recall, Buckbeak was saved later that evening and was seen by Harry and Hemione flying away, unharmed, with Sirius on his back.

While this may not be true divination, it may show that Harry has that potential, or that great of instincts. Harry may have thought he was making it up, but that story had to come from somewhere. Perhaps he was basing it off of hope that Hagrid would not have to endure that. However, Harry normally faces facts. He knew that the desision was final and there was not much he could do. Therefore, it is my belief that he may have been "inspired" when he was creating that story or prediction.

So I leave you with this. If he did it once, maybe he will do it again.

The original Basilisk of clasical traditionwas a small venomous serpent whose throat never touched the ground, with a crest upon its head that gave it its name. 'Basileus' is the Greek for 'king,' and this ensured that the snake was remembered as the king of all serpents. Everything about the Basilisk was poisonous.Its bite, glance, saliva, and smell were all fatal. In addition, it could spit venom at flying birds. The venom of the Basilisk could rot the fruit on trees and pollute water. It was concidered to be the cause of the Libyan and Middle Eastern deserts. Pliny described the Basilisk as a snake with white spots or stripes with fiery breath and a death-dealing cry, that had the ability to drive people mad with its poison. More Proof

As stated in the article "Seeing Red" (May 23, 2006), there is possible proof that Ginny Weasly is a horcrux. This proof, however, came only from the second book (CoS) and delt with wording that may or may not have been on purpose.
However, upon re-reading HBP, more evidence has come to light. On page 501 of the American Hardback copy, Dumbledore, speaking of the peculiar nature of the diary horcrux, states that "...Riddle really wanted that diary read, wanted the piece of his soul to inhabit or possess somebody else,..." Dumbledore goes on to explain that this was Riddles way of reopening the Chamber of Secrets.
This is true, as we can plainly see from the course of events in the second book, but what Dumbledore did not take into account was a statement made by the Dark Lord at the end of GoF. The Dark Lord said himself that he had gone farther that anyone down the road to immortality. While this maybe refuring to the number of horcruxes he had created, it may also be refureing to the nature of his horcruxes. Even Dumbledore said that the diary was not a typical horcrux in that it did not want to protect itself, but to continue to work.
What if Voldemort found a way for his horcruxes to transfer themselves to another object or person as a security measure? What if the piece of his soul that was in the diary transfered itself to Ginny Weasly?

Here is something that I thought of while I was reading through part of the Sorcerer's Stone:

"Vault seven hundred and thirteen had no keyhole.
‘Stand back,’ said Griphook importantly. He stroked the door gently with one of his long fingers and it simply melted away.
‘If anyone but a Gringotts goblin tried that, they’d be sucked through the door and trapped in there,’ said Griphook.
‘How often do you check to see if anyone’s inside?’ Harry asked.
‘About once every ten years,’ said Griphook with a rather nasty grin.”

Imagine a thief getting sucked through the door. They would spend a very, very long time sitting in a dark room with no food, water, or entertainment. Fortunately for them, or unfortunately, they have the Sorcerer’s Stone, with which they can produce the Elixir of Life and survive until the vault is checked. Then they would go to Azkaban and maybe be released after a few years, and then go on with their normal lives. However, some might become so bored out of their minds, that they would stop using the Elixir of Life, and eventually die, depending on how long the elixir lasts.

As most know, J.K. Rowling has a distinct habit of slipping in small, seemingly insignificant details into her writing which later become indispensable. However, this knowledge is most commonly applies to objects, such as the locket in OotP. But what about people? What about Ginny Weasley?
Throughout the series, it is well known that Ginny has a crush on Harry. This may seem a simple side-story, with their relationship reaching a climax in HBP, but it may also play a large part in book 7.
Dumbledore explains to Harry on numerous occasions that it was his love that saved him. Harry and Voldemort have both had similar backgrounds as orphans, but Harry grew up to be much different because of his love for all humans. This love has been the driving force behind much of what he has accomplished. His love for Hermione (even though platonic) is what caused him and Ron to fight the troll in PS/SS. It was his love for mankind as a whole that forced him to face mortal peril in order to stop Voldemort from attaining the philosopher's/ sorcerer's stone. There are countless other examples of this driving force, including in OotP Harry's inspiration for his patronus, his friends. Even through his depression his love still burned bright. Is it simply coincidence that Jo just happened to give Harry a girlfriend who was conveniently his best friend's sister? I think not.
At the end of HBP, Harry plans to go fight against Voldemort while leaving Ginny safely at Hogwarts. However, with Ginny's fire-cracker personality, i doubt that she will stay there for long. Ginny will most likely join up with the trio, adding more than just a few good hexes to the mix.
The prophesy states that Harry has a power “the Dark Lord knows not.” While this may mean that Harry is in possession of a power Voldemort does not have, it may also at the same time mean that Voldemort does not know what this power is that Harry possesses.
If this is true, than love in and of itself cannot be the power spoken of in the prophesy. Voldemort knows the power of love, both that of Lily Potter's and of Harry's love for his godfather. Harry's love has defeated Voldemort before, and the Dark Lord knows it.
Since it cannot be love, perhaps Harry's “secret weapon” is the source of his love. Perhaps Ginny Weasley will be the deciding factor in the final battle between Harry and Voldemort.
While I do not know enough about magic to say how this can be accomplished, I believe it is safe to say that somehow Harry will be able to draw off his friends', and Ginny's, power through the bond that they share.
All the same, this may not be the only way Harry and Ginny's relationship can come into the limelight. What would happen if Voldemort decided to use Ginny against Harry?
We know Voldemort has used this tactic before. In the MoM, he possessed Harry hoping that Dumbledore would kill Harry in trying to destroy Voldemort. While Harry was able to through him off, both in the MoM and the imperious curse in GoF, Ginny may not be strong enough to do the same. Voldemort may be tempted to put Ginny under the imperious curse and force her to fight Harry.
But Voldemort may not have to do so. Jo Rowling said that HP fans may notice horcruxes hidden throughout the first five books. Horcruxes, plural. One of them, as we all know, is the locket in OotP. Another, as Dumbledore states, is the diary in CoS. A horcrux we thought to be destroyed.
However, if you look into the dialog exchanged between Harry and the memory of Tom Riddle, you see that the horcrux may not have been destroyed but simply transferred.
Tom Riddle says in chapter 17 of CoS, “I grew powerful, far more powerful than little Miss Weasley. Powerful enough to start feeding Miss Weasley a few of my secrets, to start pouring a little of my soul back into her.” If a horcrux is a part of a soul stored in another object, the perhaps that little bit of soul is still lying dormant inside Ginny Weasley. Perhaps Ginny Weasley is a horcrux.
If this is true, if Ginny Weasley is a horcrux, then there would be only one way to defeat Voldemort once and for all. Harry would have to kill Ginny Weasley. Will Harry Potter be able to do something so horrible to someone he loves in order to save the world?
